In addition, our health is impacted by the abrupt drop in temperature and the unpredictability of weather patterns. The majority of us suffer from immune system weakness, digestive issues, and fluctuations in energy levels. Even while this can be difficult, you can get help from our age-old yoga practice. Monsoon yoga, according to experts, is an excellent method for realigning the body. Therefore, in order to revitalize and refresh holistic wellness, we will discuss in this article the yoga poses that must be performed during the rainy season.

In the monsoon, why do yoga?Rainy Season Yoga Asanas: SevenLast Word

The goal of monsoon yoga, according to Baba Ramdev, creator of Patanjali Yoga, is to balance the body and mind in order to reduce the likelihood of frequent health problems that arise during the rainy season. Regular yoga practice will also improve digestion, enhance immunity, and replenish energy.

In the monsoon, why do yoga?

As is well known, the rainy season can lead to a number of ailments, including joint stiffness, irritation, digestive problems, and lethargy. An internal imbalance brought on by the higher humidity can exacerbate allergies, coughing, and seasonal colds. Daily monsoon yoga practice increases physical activity, improves blood circulation, regulates body heat, strengthens immunity, and helps the body rid itself of pollutants.

According to Ayurveda, the rainy season is a prime time for the exacerbated Vata and Kapha doshas. Yoga is essential for balancing the doshas and reducing their negative effects on our health because it incorporates easy poses, deep breathing exercises, and gentle movements. In order to make the rainy season enjoyable, monsoon yoga also seeks to improve our moods, prevent seasonal illnesses, and increase our energy levels.

Rainy Season Yoga Asanas: Seven

Tree Pose (Vrikshasana)

During the rainy season, joint stiffness is frequent, and this standing yoga pose is an excellent way to relieve it. Vrikshasana improves balance by strengthening the spine and legs.

Triangle Pose (Trikonasana)

This pose is excellent for lower body stretches. By activating the abdominal organs, Trikonasana improves digestion, flexibility, and metabolic rate.

“Cobra Pose,” or Bhujangasana

Seasonal changes may cause respiratory issues, particularly for those who already have lung issues. By strengthening the back and opening the chest, they must do this yoga pose to enhance lung functions.

Setu Bandhasana, also known as Bridge Pose

During the languid rainy season, this yoga stance is an excellent way to deal with exhaustion or low energy. Your lower back will get stronger with this backbend workout.

Matsyendrasana Ardha (Half Spinal Twist)

This simple yoga pose improves digestion, increases spinal flexibility, and aids in body detoxification.

Paschimottanasana (Forward Bend While Seated)

Paschimottanasana is beneficial for mental relaxation and stress relief. Additionally, it enhances the digestive system by toning the abdominal organs.

Breathing Techniques, or Pranayama

Pranayamas are essential for improving respiratory health and lung capacity. The ideal pranayamas for the monsoon season are Nadi Shodhana and Kapalabhati. These open up the nasal passageways and boost oxygen intake.

Last Word

For your health and well-being, the monsoon season can be challenging. To give the body the nutrients it needs during the season, you must make sure you eat a healthy diet. In addition to yoga and exercise, you should stay hydrated, refrain from eating street food, and seek medical attention right away if you have any health problems.
